Hey there, fellow food adventurers!

Welcome to Modern Menu– a blog dedicated to testing one very important question: Can AI actually cook?

As a full-time teacher and part-time food scroller, I’ve seen my fair share of viral recipes that promise delicious meals with five ingredients or less and barely any cleanup. Lately, AI-generated recipes have been flooding my feed- some intriguing, some downright suspicious. (Let’s just say one of them involved hot dogs and pudding. Never again.)

That’s where Modern Menu comes in.

Here, I’ll be testing recipes created by AI- some from apps, some from social media, and some I ask the bots to whip up myself. Each recipe will get a full review:

  • Was it easy to follow?
  • Did it actually taste good?
  • Was it worth the time, the ingredients, and the cleanup?

The good one (and there will be good ones… I hope) will be compiled into a growing Modern Menu Recipe Book- so you can skip the fails and go straight to the wins.

So if you’ve ever been curious about what happens when tech meets kitchen- or you just want honest reviews before you try something weird with your last can of chickpeas- stick around. Hit that follow button, subscribe, or just check back whenever you’re hungry and indecisive.

Let’s find out if AI can actually dish it out.

See you in the kitchen,

Hannah

I’m Hannah

Full-time teacher, part-time taste tester of AI’s wildest recipe ideas. When I’m not grading papers, you’ll find me scrolling social media in search of the next 3-ingredient miracle meal. I love quick and easy recipes- emphasis on easy. I’ve been duped by AI’s overconfident culinary creations before (looking at you, “microwave risotto”), but that won’t stop me from testing what bots are cooking up next. Welcome to my kitchen/lab, where I separate the hits from the hot messes- so you don’t have to.
